Mafia Wars Zombie Apocalypse

It's time to put your fighting skills to the test in a battle for humanity. For approximately 1.5 weeks beginning tomorrow afternoon, October 26th, fight as either a Survivor fending off Zombies or as a Zombie trying to turn Survivors into more of your kind in the Mafia Wars Zombie Apocalypse Fight Event!

Collect Ices Just Like Ice Seasons, But Otherwise Different

    • Instead of a 1-2 week "season," multiple zombie "waves" will occur until the event ends approximately 1.5 weeks after it begins. Each wave ends when the Zombie plague has overtaken the vast majority (~90%) of the population, which should occur multiple times by November 4th. The exact number of zombie waves that will occur isn't certain, however, as each could take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours, depending on the number of people icing at any given time.
    • At the beginning of each wave, you are assigned the role of Survivor or Zombie and your role is visible to all as an icon next to your name in fight lists. The color of your pop-up windows' borders will remind you of your current role, which will switch at the beginning of each new wave. If you are a Survivor, there is also a chance that you will be turned into a Zombie any time you are iced. In the event that you are turned into a Zombie mid-wave, the ices/points accumulated while you were a Survivor continue to count toward mastering that wave. The item you can receive at the end of each wave is based on your role at the time the wave ends.

Each Role's Goal + How to Maximize Your Score
The goal as a Zombie is to convert Survivors to Zombies by icing them. The goal as a Survivor is to stave off the Zombie Apocalypse by icing Zombies while keeping yourself alive. To help you accomplish this, Zombie Protection and Antidotes will be available for purchase on the fight page and on select pop-ups. While your score will increase for each person you ice during this event, you will receive bonus points for icing players on the opposing side.

Zombie Apocalypse Fight Event Loot
There are many opportunities, depending on your score, to collect loot drop and mastery items for both sides. Collect enough ices to master all 4 of the tiers as a Survivor to earn the Ruby level Apocalypse Bike (125/85), and collect enough ices to master all 4 of the tiers as a Zombie to earn the Ruby level Brain Cage (76/117). The item you can receive at the end of each wave is based on your role at the time the wave ends.

Secret District: Smuggler's Haven Balance Tuning

One of the things that makes Mafia Wars so much fun is that it is a living, evolving game. We work hard to release a lot of exciting content and extensively test every feature and event prior to release, but sometimes imbalances don’t become apparent until those features are in use by millions of players. Unfortunately, the XP/energy ratios of the Smuggler’s Haven Secret District is one of those cases and we have determined that they need to be adjusted again this afternoon to preserve the balance that keeps Mafia Wars fun for everyone. The ratios will be closer to those found throughout the rest of Brazil. We want to apologize for the inconvenience, so as a consolation, we will be increasing the stats of the loot received in Smuggler’s Haven. We hope you enjoy the better loot!

If you are level 25 or above, you should now be able to travel to Smuggler's Haven! This timed Secret District in Brazil contains 9 new jobs to complete before 4pm on 8/30.

Mafia Wars Mission Event: Crossing the Line - Complete Guide

A new mission have been released today. We have a total of around 9 days to complete it, so i suggest you to take your time and not spend any Reward Points on it!

 Mission Guide -

Part 1:

Overseer

Damn, "Get Support From Your Mafia" is really irritating, since we have to wait for our mafias to accept it after we have sent them the request, so it might take sometime.

Using the Mission Crew Link bookmarket by Spockholm definitely speeds up the time to get past this point.

Looting 12 Hung Chu Enforcer was a little harder as i have spent over 5000 energy to complete this stage.

Reward for completing Part 1 of the mission - 3 Protective Shirts.

Part 2:

The Mark

 

Nothing much for Part 2 of the mission.. All we have to do is do the "Receive A Kickback From The Buyer" job 10 times and loot 12 documents from Fight in Bangkok.

 

Documents from Fight -

There are no loot rewards for Part 2 of the mission, except some experience, bahts and victory coins.

Part 3:

The Fast Lane

For Part 3 of the mission, all we have to do is Rob 8x Chop Shops, Fight 18 opponents in New York and Collect from Chop Shop twice.

Robbing Chop Shop -

Reward for completing Part 3 of the mission - 2 Car Cutters and 2 Red Scorpions.

Part 4:

Encore

Rob 8x Auto Boutiques in Italy -

Do the job - "Smuggle Goods Through A Fishery" 20 times in Italy.

 

And lastly, collecting from your Auto Boutique twice.

There are no loot rewards for Part 4 of the mission, except some experiences, Liras and loyalty points.

Part 5:

Indulgence

Ask for 6x Satchels from your Mafia through Facebook News Feed -

Do the job - "Buy Out A Costume Shop" in Italy 15 times.

Build 1 item from your Port located in Properties in Italy.
Unfortunately, i had already built a item earlier yesterday, i'll have to spend Reward Points to complete it so as to continue the Mission Walk Through.

Reward for completing Part 5 of the mission - 4 Crystallines.

Part 6:

Small Fry

Icing 6 opponents in New York is quite easy.
Same goes to robbing 9 Mega Casinos.

 Now go to Capo tier in New York and do the "Steal An Air Freight Delivery" until you successfully loot 15 Metal Containers.

Lastly, you have to declare war once to complete Part 6 of the mission.

Reward for completing Part 6 of the mission - 2 Steel Plate Jackets and 5 Chimney Sweeps.

Part 7:

Pity Party

Clear 2 robbing boards across any cities, it will count even if you lost any rob.

Go to New York fight page and take out all 10 Armed Guards. (Costs 8 stamina each)

Do the job - "Disrupt Rival Smuggling Ring" 16 times in New York under the Hitman tier.

Lastly, collect 3 times from your Dockyard in New York properties to complete the whole mission.

Reward for completing Part 7 of the mission - 1 Ratite Dragster.

You still have 4 days to complete the Mafia Wars Thrill of the Hunt Mission.  This new Limited Time Mission Event is available from April 29, 2011 to May 9, 2011.

- win 18 fights in italy
- loot 10 motor oils from fights
- job : show a business owner who’s in charge

- loot 13 gas cans from job:recruit some local muscle

- collect from your tenement 1x
- loot 12 sets of blackmail photos from robbing
