What's Up with Mafia Wars Brazil after 2 months of release?

In March 8, 2011 Mafia Wars Brazil was announced with an email. Get ready to conquer a new Mafia Wars country! Complete the first region of Brazil to continue growing your criminal empire. Greatness await! You will get reward BRL$2,000 to get started! Brazil currency is (R) Real.

Unlike other cities, Brazil is being presented a little differently. Brazil has been created with the intention to allow friends to ‘team up’ on jobs and challenges in a group setting. This allows every player to invite a crew of friends to collect awesome rewards and speed up completion of this new city! Challenges will be difficult and the competition will be strong…be prepared to lose items from robs, vault awesome rewards and play Mafia Wars like never before!

WHAT’S NEW AND DIFFERENT IN MAFIA WARS BRAZIL?! 

Brazil Crew Bar:  

You need to recruit your Mafia to earn special bonuses and help you do jobs, fights, robbing, and collect from properties with more force. See image below..

Mafia Wars Brazil Crew

• Every User will have an option to recruit ‘Brazil Crew’ of friends to help in: Jobs, Fights, Robs and Properties
• Each category has 2 separate roles (8 Total) that can be filled 1 time per day
• Objective: Activate all 8 roles daily to earn bonuses and protection
• Available Friends Remain in Queue until activated into Category Roles
• Bonuses/Protection will be rewarded at time of activation
• Friends must accept Brazil Crew requests to be added to open queue spots
• When a crew request is accepted, both the sending and receiving party will become part of each other’s crew
• Brazilian Real will be awarded if NO open queue positions are available and a crew request is accepted

Robbing in Brazil will be frustrating for every player! Everyone will have an opportunity to steal valuable ‘Precious Goods’ collection items from one another.

• There is no limit to how many Precious Good items can be stolen in any given day
• You can only STEAL one item per player per day [You cannot continually rob the same person]
• 1 Precious Good Item will always remain in inventory [9 out of 10 items can be stolen]
• Items Stolen will be at random
• Notes will be placed in Player Update section when Items have been stolen
• Precious Good Items can only be stolen on successful robs
• LOST PRECIOUS GOOD ITEMS WILL NOT BE RESTORED BY CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Brazil Fighting/Stamina Cost FAQ

When Brazil was launched, there were new features that were introduced.  One of the feature changes that you will find only in Brazil is in regards to the amount of Stamina that players is charged for Attacks and Power Attacks.  With the release of Brazil, players now have different stamina cost based upon their level within the game.  Part of this update also includes an increase in the amount of the reward you can receive based upon your level within the game.

Q:  How come I do not have this feature on my fight light?
A:  This feature may not be available to all of our players.  As with many of our features and releases, this is initially rolled out to a smaller group of players to ensure stability within the game.

Q:  Can I have this feature manually added to my account at this time?
A:  Unfortunatley, no.  Our agents do not have the ability to add this feature to your account.

Q:  When will this feature be available to all players?
A:  This feature will be rolled out slowly to our players to ensure the best experience possible.

Q:  How come some players are getting 5 times the amount of loot when they are fighting?
A:  The loot drop is correlative to amount of Stamina points used for a fight.  The Stamina amount needed to fight in Brazil is determined by the players level within the game.

Q:  How are the drop rates calculated?
A:  The amount of loot you might find is multiplied by the amount of Stamina points you use to attack.  (It is importanat to note, that this is based only upon of the amount of Stamina used to attack, not the Power Attack feature.)

Q:  When will I be able to increase the amount I earn from fighting?
A:  The multiplier used to determine the amount of an item that you will receive from fighting is based upon your level.  When you cross each threshold your multiplier will increase.

Q:  Can the amount I earn be manually increased?
A:  Unfortunatley, no.  The amount of the drop rates is tied directly to your level within the game and this cannot be manually adjusted by our agents.  In order obtain the higher drop rates you will need to increase your level within the game.

Q:  I was fighting someone in Brazil, but I didn't receive the Brazil items. 
A:  If you are fighting someone in Brazil, and their character travels to another city, you will not receive items from Brazil.  You can verify this by checking to see if the Brazil Real is listed:  .  In the image below, the player has traveled away from Brazil.

Q:  Will I receive loot items every time that I fight?
A:  No.  This is a random drop and it is not guaranteed that you will find items each time that you fight.

Q:  If I am at level 501, will I receive 5 items every time that they drop?
A:  No.  For each level you can obtain up to the maximum for that level, but you are not guaranteed to receive the maximum each time that you fight.  Finding loot items is completely random, and you may or may not receive them when fighting.

Q:  Where will i see the items when a drop occurs after I fight?
A:  You will see thise items below the fight specs and they will be labeled as Bonus Loot!

Q:  Where will I find the items that have dropped.
A:  You can find these items on your loot page.  You can also click the word 'Loot' on the drop notification and you will be taken to that page.
